PSYCHOMETRY:
Psychometry is basic. It is a skill we can all learn, and surprisingly, it leads naturally and easily into the development of ALL the psi skills!
The ability to tell something from only holding an object, whether it is an item from a criminal case, or a sealed envelope, it is the basis of 90% of all the work I have done in the field of psychic research and exploration.
This talent is the most common of all psi talents, and the more easily learned in a short time. A student can learn to be fairly proficient at psychometry after only four hours of training, as I have proven in classes across America.
Most of the hundreds of cases the Psi Squad has worked on involved the use of psychometry by the group members. The reason it works so well is unexplored, but may very well be that in some way, objects seem to absorb their surroundings, or the vibrations of their environment, if you prefer.
This, of course, does not even begin to explain how the future is predicted from holding an object, but it does fit the bill on past and present impressions one can pick up from the object.
There is some evidence that objects are permeated by the human force field, now called the biosphere, formerly the aura.
The things you wear, handle and live with do seem to soak up the character and the individuality of persons associated with them, as well as your own personality.
Inexplicably, an object worn by an individual before his death will continue its recording of events in the persons life, right up to the EVENT of death itself! This is how we reconstruct a death or a murder, and are sometimes able to see the person committing the deed. We are not always blessed with a good look at what happened, but often, enough to keep us working at it.
In some cases, including the famous Lucas case, and another, much more recent, I was able to look through the eyes of the objects owner and see what they saw at the moment of death.
Granted, this is not something everyone would want to do or be able to do. It can be pretty scary, also.
There are thousands of things, however, which you might want to do with psychometry, once you have learned to use it.
