Learning Psi

LEARNING TO USE IT:

I learned to use psychometry using two distinct and different methods. First, I seized every opportunity to handle unusual objects. Once people become aware that you are learning to do this, they will become eager to let you hold a watch, key chain, a ring, to see what you can get from it.

Secondarily, I used a deck of cards ~ ordinary playing cards. And I still do, to keep my skill sharp. My husband makes jokes about the deck on the bedside table, but it is really there, and it is the same old deck I began with, so many years ago.

WHICH HAND TO USE:

There are several ways to learn which of your hands is the most sensitive. In ESP training class, I can tell by holding my own hands over the hands of a student and feeling the energy coming from one, and being absorbed by the other. The one I feel which is absorbing my energy is the receptive hand and is the one to use for psychometry.

You can perform a simple test, to find out which and is the receptive,or negative-energy hand. It is absolutely necessary that you do this, as you will always use this hand to receive impressions, at least until you have become so accurate that you can use either or both hands.

For most right-handed persons, the left is the receptive hand. For lefties, the right is likely to be the receptive. If you are in doubt, or were changed from a lefty to a right-hander as a child, the following simple test can be used to discover which is which.

To use the negative-positive test for energy absorption, hold the left hand up at chest level, palm facing your right.

Lift the right hand to the same level, palm facing inward to the left. Now, move the fingertips to the right hand upward and downward, pointing at the palm of the left hand. Move them slowly up and down from the tip of the left hand fingertips to the base of the palm.

Now, close your eyes, and see if you can feel a current of energy coming from the fingertips of the right hand. It may feel warm, cool, tingly. If you do feel a current, no matter how faint, then your right hand is the POSITIVE hand, and should never be used for psychometry unless you have gained such skill it no longer matters.

When you are beginning your work in psychometry, remember NEVER to pickup or touch an object with your right hand that you are going to work with. You may inadvertently transmit an impression as you do so. Learn to pick things up with your negative or receptive hand, right from the start.

Once a reporter from the London Times had brought us a case, and the objects he had brought had been handled by literally dozens of psychics before he arrived. Each of these persons had imprinted both their feelings and their impressions on the objects as they handled them, because they were never told that this could happen!

Several years ago, Dr. Milan Ryzl, the Czech parapsychologist, was in St. Louis for a lecture. He was relating a problem he had encountered with objects used for psychometry. It seems that if one person handling the item made a mistake in his information, that every person handling it afterwards made the same mistake. Dr. Ryzl couldn't figure that out, and to him it was good proof of ESP at work, if nothing else.

One of my associates, Phyllis Deggendorf, was at the meeting, and told him about the negative-positive hand factor, and he verified that his people had been using right hands, left hands and both hands, which, of course, produced an undesirable effect and result.

Form a habit of using your left hand to take things from others, and to pick up something you may be going to use. This will get you used to the negative-hand operation, and will help you remember.
